My journey began 59 years ago when I was born. Little did I know I would grow up to be very artistic and analytical at the same time. I was born to parents that have very different views and gifts that were given to them from God. As an early child I remember my grandmother who used to sew and make patterns for clothes.
But God placed a home economics teacher in my life Mrs. Hall. So in seventh grade I took home economics and learned how to sew, quilt and cook healthy meals. This was all new to me and I was so excited.
Oh but sit down! I was the worst student in the class of 7th graders in my sewing class. But I loved working with fabric and sewing machines from the very first day.
So off I went sewing and quilting, after taking a quilting class from my local quilt shop.
So I had a talk with myself.
Commit your works to the Lord and then your plans will succeed. Proverbs 16:3
Speaking to groups and at conference, teaching weekly classes that is what my life is all about.
So today I wake up everyday focused on doing my best with what I have.
Whatever you do work at it with all your heart as working for the Lord not for men since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving. Colossians 3:23-24
