Monday Sew – Help I need to sew!

Help I need to sell! Are there days when you feel like the world is just coming in on you. And there’s nothing you can do right. You try your best but it seems like everything just fails. In those moments I always revert back to my go to. Sewing is where I go when life is just not going my way. When I need a little break from everything. As you can see in the above slide show I love fabric, I love color, I love the textures of fabric, I love the feel of fabric. Fabric makes me…

Friday Fun – Standing up for DIY

Sometimes I just want to create and I don’t have much time. So I star with the fabric left over from other projects. I am not one for keeping fabrics around but when I have extra time to create I will look to the fabrics set aside for very special projects. Big, small, shapes, colors, light or dark. enter that Taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him. Psalm 34:8

In my last post I spoke about alignment. It you did not read that post let me tell you a bit about alignment. Alignment creates a sharp, or more ordered design. Repetition strengtens a design by tying together multiple individual elements. The consistent repetition of an element like color, shape. or texture and set a project apart. In this quilt that I have created the repetition in…
